Photos are posted in two resolutions, "lo-fi" (generally adequate for on-screen display) and "hi-fi" (the highest available resolution, suitable for printing). When a thumbnail would be useful, that is given as well. Lo-fi images download fairly fast even with a dial-up connection, since they usually are between 20 KB and 100 KB. Hi-fi images typically are between 150 KB and 1.5 MB, and so are best left to those who have broadband Internet access (or significant patience with a dial-up connection) or who are having trouble reading scanned text with their particular monitor/screen-resolution combination.
Please notify Art if you are having problems or have a suggestion that would make your use of this website easier.
In addition to the items immediately below, see also the four stunning aerial photographs given on the School History page.

On Saturday afternoon of reunion weekend, we gained access to the vintage photos in FA's archive. Here is what we found. Other vintage photos can be seen in the PowerPoint slides on the Reunion Report page.
| Do you have any pictures of campus life during our years at FA? You know, in those cupboards and drawers and boxes that you haven't looked at in decades? Think about the value of those old pictures to the families -- children, grandchildren, eventually great grandchildren, etc. -- of the classmates whose youthful images you are hoarding. Wouldn't you love to have pictures of your parents, grandparents, and greatgrandparents during their high school years? Then please share these images! If yousend originals or scans to Art at ageoffri@anderson.ucla.edu, he will put them online for all to enjoy, returning the originals by UPS. |
