Where to Stay

It may also be possible to stay with classmates who live in the area. Contact Joan if you would be interested in that.

Four Good Reasons to Attend This Reunion

1. During our High School years we formed bonds that are mostly laying dormant owing to geographical dispersion and the demands of career and family. Those bonds will rejuvenate on sight, adding joy and warmth to our hearts. We will carry this experience with us to the ends of our lives, as has been proven by other people at other reunions. There will be no 100th Reunion. This is the last Big One.

2. As high-school classmates, we occupy a very special place in each other’s early memories and even in each other’s developed personalities and character. We were fellow travelers during the critical passage from protected child to college-bound youth, when the whole world was opening before to us like a flower. We helped to shape one another during those years when we were so malleable. None of us looks anything like we did in 1955, but the essence that made each of us unique then is still there and still can be savored. Come and meet once again those who helped to shape you.

3. We’re all pretty much at the same stage of life, and will benefit from talking about the old and new interests we’re supposed to have more time for now, about how best to make the passage to retirement and get the most out of it, about how best to nurture our grandchildren and younger family members, how to simplify life, and how we can make a bigger difference to our communities, favored causes, and country.

4. Let us see for ourselves how FA has evolved over the last half century physically and in other ways, and consider how possibly to help others gain the kind of advantages we enjoyed.
