A thoughtful essay in the Wall Street Journal this 6/27/05 had some nice comments on why reunions are so enjoyable and valuable. Here is a brief excerpt:
... at our reunion, careers seemed also beside the point. We mostly talked about our lives going forward. What is not a big deal any more: ambition, one-upmanship, status, name dropping, fame. What is a big deal now: our families and friends, aging gracefully, tamping down life's infernal busyness, kicking up our heels after years of duty and diligence. ...

2005 Reunion Report: highlights, a facebook of everyone who attended, more than 450 reunion photos taken by 9 classmates, George Cadwell's poems from the Friday luncheon, a 72-slide slide show depicting the history and evolution of FA, scans from Jean Claude's souvenir album from 1953-54, and new scans of '50s photos from FA's photo archives.
